FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Anderson Creek Garden Club Seeks Volunteers for Community Clean-Up Day
Spring Lake, NC (June 8, 2026) — The Anderson Creek Garden Club, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit federated garden club and member of both the North Carolina Garden Club and The National Garden Clubs, Inc., invites community members to roll up their sleeves and join its upcoming Clean-Up Day on Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Volunteers will help make Western Harnett cleaner and greener by picking up litter and beautifying Ray Road and surrounding areas. This family-friendly event is a great opportunity to connect with neighbors while improving the local environment.
Participants should meet at the Patriot Hall parking lot, located at 216 Anderson Creek Drive, Spring Lake, NC 28390. A brief safety talk, waiver signing, and distribution of supplies will take place at the start of the event.
“Every piece of litter we remove and every area we beautify makes a real difference in the quality of life in our community,” said Lee Mendocino of the Anderson Creek Garden Club. “We welcome all ages and skill levels — come out for an hour or two and help us keep Western Harnett and Ray Road looking its best!”
No experience is necessary. Gloves, trash bags, and other supplies will be provided. Volunteers are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes.
