Anderson Creek Garden Club Welcomes Special Guest Byron Wortham of Holly’s Nest Animal Rescue
Join the Anderson Creek Garden Club for an informative and inspiring program featuring Byron Wortham, co-founder of Holly’s Nest Animal Rescue.
Date & Time: Thursday, November 19, 2026, at 11:30 AM
Location: Patriot Hall, 216 Anderson Creek Drive, Spring Lake, NC
Guests are welcome.
Holly’s Nest is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and North Carolina’s largest deer rehabilitation center. Each year the organization rescues, rehabilitates, and releases hundreds of orphaned or injured animals—including fawns, birds, raccoons, foxes, and more—most of which have been impacted by habitat loss or vehicle collisions.
Attendees will learn why this work is vital, what the rescue and rehabilitation process involves, and how animals are prepared for successful release back into the wild. We are hopeful a release may take place the day of the meeting.

Help Us Create a Lasting Tribute at Anderson Creek! 🎖️✨
The Anderson Creek Garden Club is honored to announce a special project: we are raising funds to place a Gold Star Memorial right here in our community at the corner of NC Highway 87 and Nursery Road.
This memorial will serve as a permanent, heartfelt tribute to the families who have given everything for our country. We are incredibly grateful to partner with Fort Bragg, who will be receiving and installing this landmark on our behalf.
We need your help to reach our $3,400 goal!
Our club members have already kicked things off with an initial $1500 donation, but we need the community’s support to bring this vision to life.
Every single dollar brings us one step closer to this lasting legacy. Once the memorial is placed, we will host a formal ceremony to honor those it represents, and everyone who helps us reach this goal will be invited to join us for this historic occasion.
No donation is too small. Let’s come together to ensure this tribute stands for generations to come. Please share this post to help us spread the word!

Share your special holiday traditions, family collections, and what the holidays mean to you. Nothing fancy is needed—share your love of the holidays, indoors, outdoors, or both. It’s completely up to you!
